>>SLEEPING IN THE POST OFFICE — For the second night in a row, people were discovered sleeping in the U.S. Post Office at 224 North Oak Street. Two people were “warned and advised” about sleeping in the post office around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. On Thursday, shortly after midnight, two subjects were again reported to be sleeping in the post office.<<

It’s like a rock concert!  Or the opening of a Star Trek movie!  Or maybe it was a “sleep in” — to protest the Saturday service cut!  Alas, because it’s here in Mendocino County, it was probably just because they were high and homeless, hoping someone would mail them some place cool.

>>UNFRIENDLY PIT BULL – A man reported that he tried to pet a pit bull around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Pomolita Drive and it bit him on the boot.<<  Note to self: don’t try to pet pit bulls.

>>DRUNKEN HUSBAND – A woman in the 200 block of Mason Street asked police to remove her husband from her house for the night. She said he had been drinking and hit her head against the wall. The responding officer noted that the woman had been drinking as well.<<  New business opportunity — spousal removal!
